I see no reason why this could not be made to work with MSS. It also appears to be an amazing deal for this type of equipment; other options are much more expensive. If you decide to proceed, I am sure there are several MMS forum contributors who will step you through the configuration.

Filtering incoming calls By Caller ID

I am trying to allow calls from a few selected family members to go through no matter what the time. I would like to have a simple table in the dialplan that I can edit, for example, to include all variations of prefixed Caller ID - 00+Country Code, 011+Country Code, and just Country Code. Since the...

Tropo - IVR from Voxeo using Ruby

Last year I brought up the subject of Voxeo for offloading IVR to the cloud: http://www.mysipswitch.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=542 I experimented a bit, but did not get too far. Voxeo has now expanded its offering by introducing Tropo. ( http://www.tropo.com ) While there are similarities, and the un...

VOIP security typically blocks IP addresses by geographic region, so it would not be surprising to have a problem from a particular country. Hopefully, all will be resolved with the upcoming move to Amazon EC2. With regard to also having Asterisk on Amazon EC2, there has been a lot of recent discuss...

Filtering incoming calls by time

The following item is from the Use Cases forum. Is this pretty much the current best way to filter incoming calls by time? dalrun , yep, that's right! We overlooked this thing... :( Anyway, my recent suggestion should work fine. Try this: t = Time.now - (8*60*60) # current local time GMT-8 sys.Log(t...

Would you consider adding Asterisk or FreeSwitch to your Amazon EC2 setup to handle keypad input or basic voice prompts?

One of the current options in GrandCentral is to transfer incoming calls to a Gizmo5 number. MSS can host the Gizmo5 account, providing a SIP linkage for GrandCentral. (I understand from a quick Google search this morning that this feature has been carried over to Google Voice.) I have been using th...

I was also having problems getting to Betamax via Voxalot. I switched from the traditional dialplan to Ruby and it worked like a charm.

Best to post the results from your monitoring screen, so we can review the issues.

The wizard is a great start. I would suggest that it be modular, with separate sub-wizards for incoming, outgoing, Voxalot, time-based options, etc. Each individual output would have a "match line" to show where it would be inserted in the dialplan.
