Re: Which PBX do you recommend: MSS, 3CX, Axon, PiaF, Elasti

I don't use GV. I use Vitelity and I'm happy with the service provided. Sorry I can't help with the GV question.

Re: Which PBX do you recommend: MSS, 3CX, Axon, PiaF, Elasti

The ASUS WL-520gU that I use (includes USB port for a USB drive) is on sale at the moment at newegg.com for $35 (shipping included, after $10 mail-in rebate). I don't know about UK options, though.

Re: Which PBX do you recommend: MSS, 3CX, Axon, PiaF, Elasti

I'm still happy with the ASUS solution I described earlier. It's been very reliable for months now.

It relays the audio stream as well. The GUI is basic - I ssh into the router with putty, edit the config files with vi, and view the asterisk console. But I'm surprised how that's not as big an issue as I thought it would be. After initial setup (which the guide walks you through), there are only tw...

I headed down a bit different path, but it's working well. I've got Asterisk running on an inexpensive ASUS router (currently $35 after rebate at Newegg.com ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320023&cm_re=asus_router-_-33-320-023-_-Product) ). It was a fun project. Here are t...

Aaron, Thank you very much for this great explanation! For the stability and features I'm wanting, I'm thinking that SS local version is the best option. It sounds like SS is becoming stable now so I assume a local version would be even more stable - no? The SS server would be a 1 GHz Windows laptop...

I'm also thinking of taking the leap to a local version of something due to the recent stability issues. I'm not complaining - Aaron is up-front that MSS/SS are experimental sights and it is an amazing service. But I'm want to expand with a stable solution for the entire family. So I'd like to have ...

Thanks for the advice to switch over. MSS is up for the moment. I had understood that there were still some reliability issues with SIPSorcery; is is now more stable than MSS? Agreed - thanks Aaron!

MSS is down?

I'm registering with MSS, but no incoming or outgoing calls. Switch status on left side of MSS page says "The SIP Switch did not respond." Anyone else down?
