How is a one time fee fair when operation costs are ongoing?

The solution they have settled on, with various programs ranging from free to a few bucks, reflects the market.

Re: CSipSimple for Android

I've been using CSipSimple over 3g (EVDO) without any problem. You need do these: Activate G729 only, deactivate all others. Use STUN, if your 3g connection does not get a public IP address. Use TCP instead of UDP, unselect "allow contact rewrite". Set register timeout to 3600, Mobile keep alive 0....

Re: solution for no audio problem on 3g

So you're saying the issue is not the SIP client or the cell phone service provider, but the way SipSorcery works? It's different whether you connect with wireless or 3G? I use Android, and experience this issue probably 95% of the time I am trying to make VoIP calls over 3G. Last night I did it wit...

Re: CSipSimple for Android

After using it a while, my opinion has changed. The UI is great, the setup is easy and works well over wireless, but couldn't get it to work at all over 3G. I couldn't hear anything and the person on the other end just got static. E-mailed the developer 2 days ago but no reply. Switched back to SipD...

Re: Which SIP software do you use for iPhone?

When I was on iPhone, I first used iSip to connect to my GV-SipSorcery-Sipgate solution. Worked fine. Then I came across Talkatone, a GTalk client, eliminating the need for a separate DID like SIpGate and an intermediary like SipSorcery. Worked like a charm, but then I changed to an Android phone an...

Re: Android SIP client

An aging thread, but Android and SIP VoIP lives, so perhaps there are still those interested... CSipSimple version 0.00-16 r410, available for free through the Android Market. CSipSimple connects very seamlessly with SipSorcery. I've made a few calls with it and so far, crystal clear. I tried SipDr...

Re: very disapointed, sipsorcery is not free anymore

i agree, only the notice wasnt given with the right terms did the guys tat had the automatic migration have to pay or had it for free? You still don't get it. it doesn't matter. We are owed nothing. We are guests at a party and when the money runs out, the party is over. It would be more helpful an...

Re: very disapointed, sipsorcery is not free anymore

I lost my stanaphone account because they said "from now on you have to buy cre4dit to keep it" but here we have been talking about migration, nothing was said about something to pay from someone who was already in therefore it has been unclear What would you do if you were in his shoes? Do you hav...

Re: very disapointed, sipsorcery is not free anymore

guys! these are old posts you reply to....... and btw.... Asterisk is for free ! Just because it ain't breaking news, doesn't make the point less valid. Thanks for the info on Asterisk, but I use the SipSorcery solution for my mobile phone. I will probably stick with MagicJack for my home phone for...

Re: very disapointed, sipsorcery is not free anymore

Another option would be to email all users and request donations. The only way I found out about the request for donation was earlier this year when Amazon's servers were give you problems. It was only then that I saw the situation and donated, but if I had not come to the site I would have not kno...
