Re: Really Confusing Bug

It should be straight forward to track down the call set up lag. The areas to focus on are: 1. DNS lookups (most likely culprit). There are lotsoof log messages but an even quicker way to check is to make the call with an IP address ainstead of a host name, 2. Server response time. A 100 Trying respo...

Re: GV outgoing calls not connecting again

No worries, glad the service was able to help people. Just one note for anyone who is cancelling their sipsorcery service, the options below are good ones: 1. Log into your PayPal account, go to recurring payments and cancel the sipsorcery subscription. That stops all further payments and your accou...

Re: GV outgoing calls not connecting again

At this point I think it's the end of the line for sipsorcery and Google Voice calls. It was always a fragile mechanism and now that it's breaking so frequently it's no longer sustainable to keep troubleshooting and fixing.

Re: SIP Video Disable

It is possible to block video offers by removing them from the SDP payload in the sipsorcery dialplan but it's a pretty tricky task. It's be a lot easier just to get one or other of the SIP user agents on the call not to make or accept video offers...

Re: inbound: forward caller number

The callerid is being set by the provider you are using to forward the call to your cellphone. With the sipsorcery service you can set the callerid fields to anything but then it's up to each SIP provider as to whether they pass those fields through or ignore them. I'd recommend contacting the provi...

Re: Unable to register IINET as SIP Provider

Looks like iinet are blocking the sipsorcery server's IP address.

Registration requests sent to sip.iinet.net.au from my local server get a response. If they are sent from sipsorcery.com no response.

Re: local phonebook for incoming call or Google phone book integration

There are dialplan functions that allow you to store simple key-value pairs in the sipsorcery database http://www.sipsorcery.com/mainsite/Help/DialPlans#Database. But they aren't available for the Free service level so won't help you. There are undoubtedly ways you could replace the CNAM service wit...

Re: Google Voice SMS

There's no facility to be able to directly send an SMS via GV with sipsorcery. I suspect there are other services or sites that do provide this and SMS providers like clickatell.com definitely do although that's a paid service. You can put the sys.GoogleVoiceSMS call into your webcallback dialplan a...
