Can I use sipsorcery as a pbx

Post by accent » Thu Feb 23, 2012 9:19 am

Our sales are in Boston while the tech support is in LA. Both have VOIP phones. What kind of system do we need to let customer dial a main number then dial extension 100 to Sales and extension 200 to tech support? Can it be done with sipsorcery?

To do that you need an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. SIPSorcery cannot do that since it requires that processing the call media and sipsorcery cannot get involved in the media in any fashion. There are lots of options for IVR services. Two of the better ones are anveo.com and tropo.com.
