Bridge Calls to make cheaper ?

Post by qubo » Fri Mar 02, 2012 9:55 pm

HI. I would like to know if this is possible

example if I had a DID in japan only for incoming calls.

and I need to call a phone number in Japan it is possible to Dial to japan with voipbuster at a cost of 2 cts per minute. but when the call is connected then transfer the call to my DID in japan for incoming calls and disconnecting the voipbuster sip ? this would if possible allow me to save money without still paying in the voipbuster

is this possible ?

thanks in advance

Colin

If I understand you correctly the answer is no it's not possible. What it sounds like you're trying to do is get the person that answers the initial call to pay for the call leg to your own Japanese number.

The billing issue aside I've never heard of any PSTN network supporting transfers; understandably so since that would open up a whole can of worms as to who was paying for the call. I have seen some PSTN telcos provide a call forward service where you can set a number that will be forwarded to whenever a call comes in on your phone number but in that case you got charged for that forwarded call leg.
