Authenticated, Registered but unable to dial/answer calls...?

Post by Flip » Fri Sep 16, 2016 12:12 pm

Hey guys,
I am having massive troubles getting SIP Sorcery to work on a client network running a 20/20Mbit link via a Cisco 1921 router on a Cisco SPA901. Unable to get the unlocked MyNetFone SPA52x phones to even work so using the SPA901 to do a demo.

Registration is okay and shows the account on-line at SS. However you pick-up the handset and dial and it does nothing and plays an error tone (reorder? I forget). Inbound calls and outbound calls fail. However, I was able to make a couple test calls immediately after rebooting the device.

Could you please review the logs for the SS account starting with 'pdla.....' and whether you can see if the errors are occurring after it gains access or communicates with the SS network, or before?

Perhaps there is already a solution that is relevant on the forums?

Configuration inc. tested/changed etc:
  • NAT Mapping off
  • NAT keep-alive on
  • NAT Keep Alive Intvl = 9
  • RTP Port Min 10000
  • RTP Port Max 65535
  • RTP Packet Size 0.020 / 20ms
  • Tried both SS server I.P. and NS
  • Tried Ports 5060, 5061, 5069, 5062...
  • Tried AUTH ID on/off
  • Tried Symmetric RTP on/off
  • Tried Handle VIA received on/off
  • Tried Handle VIA rport on/off
  • Tried Insert VIA received on/off
  • Tried Insert VIA rport on/off
  • Tried STUN (stun.ColouredLines.com.au:3478)
  • Tried DHCP / Static I.P. addressing
  • Tried Manual / DHCP DNS and I.P. (both ISP's and external)
  • ...
Have not tried or experimented with:
  • Exteranal I.P. setting
  • Send to source port: on
  • ...
Device Configuration:

The first thing I'd recommend is seeing if the sipsorcery console http://www.sipsorcery.com/mainsite/Help/Console shows anything when you attempt a call. If it doesn't then there's also not going to be anything in the sipsorcery logs (which can really only help for dialplan errors any way).

Thanks Aaron. I only have access via VPN right now, so will be in there doing other network maintenance tomorrrow so will make a few more calls then.
I just posted the device config - a saved HTML file from device.

I can see some in call logs, but zero info...

Thanks mate.

EDIT
Hmmm This stupid number@VSP error still annoys me. I renamed everything again to fix it, perhaps the name was too long...
Anyway, you dial again and then it dials number@vsp.com.au instead of the VSP name.
The fact it errors on Telecube means it's attempted via other VSPs already...

Two working calls on 12th Sept were after rebooting the device.
Hmm... Strange it only shows 33 CDR? Never really looked at the built-in records...

Apparently it has to do with the DHCP on the ADSL modem side of the Router. Having two DHCP's is bad for VOIP!
So the SIP / SDP communication doesn't know if 192.168.5.x is my WAN IP or if 222.233.xxx.xxx.

So I need to disable DHCP, enable static WAN IP, and ... cross my fingers? lol

Will let you know how I go.
