Dbread changed on local version 1.2

Post by jvwelzen » Sat Feb 20, 2010 9:19 am

Hi Aaron

Yesterday I upgraded my local version to v1.2 and everything runs smootly but my dbread functions are not working anymore

this is what i see in my console

DBRead failed as no default user database settings are configured.

Is there something changed with the db read write functions

Thanks in advance

Do you have the UserDataDBType and UserDataDBConnStr settings configured in the appSettings node in your config file?

I'm pretty sure they were required in version 1.1. The settings are what the DBRead and DBWrite dialplan applications use and they are documented in the configuration guide.

Regards,

Aaron

No I don't think so let me check

EDIT

Yes it's working now

I forgot to add these lines to the configuration file

<add key="UserDataDBType" value="MySQL" />
<add key="UserDataDBConnStr" value="Database=sipsorcery;Data Source=1.2.3.4;User Id=root;Password=mypassword" />

Thanks

Hi Aaron

Version 1.2 runs like a charm

Thank again for this great application .....

I have one question

is it possible to create 1 sip provider that can be used by every user you create

No there's no ability to do that. Each user's SIP accounts, providers and dialplans belong to them only.

Regards,

Aaron
