Installing as a service

Post by dig12345 » Thu Aug 05, 2010 8:18 pm

It was working great in console mode so I went ahead and attempted to install as a service. I could not get it to work, seemed to be launching in the wrong folder and couldn't access xml files. Instead I used Microsoft's srvany to install a service that runs it in console mode. A kludge, but it works. Just thought I'd share that tidbit.

Cheers to the coder of this great software!

There are instructions in the configuration document that's packaged in with the release. I suspect what you need to do is make sure you've fully qualified all the file paths in your sipsorcery-appsvr.exe.config file. A Windows service uses c:\windows\system32 as its base directory.

Yes, but I couldn't find a node for specifying path to customers.xml which is what it was trying to load from system32. The others loaded ok for some reason.
