stun.ekiga.net causing problems

Post by dig12345 » Sun Jun 12, 2011 5:11 am

My sipsorcery local service was crashing on startup over the last few days. Appeared to be related to STUN. I suspected something up with the ekiga server. It appears to be hardcoded so I changed my hosts file to point stun.ekiga.net to the ip for stun.xten.net and all worked well. Horay! just thought I'd share the tip..

The stun.ekiga.net is not hard coded. You can either remove it or replace it in your sipsorcery-appsvr.exe.config file. The fact that your sipsorcery instance was crashing when the STUN server wasn't responding is actually a bug that came up about 6 months ago and has been fixed in the latest source. However the easiest fix is just to remove the setting from the previously mentioned file.
