Unable to create a new account on local version of sipsorcer

I have got a local version of sipsorcery-1.2 running on XP professional started from the command line. Opening the localhost web site, I tried to create an account. It looked like things worked in that it then responded that it had sent a confirmation email. However, 12 hrs later it never arrived. I tried a new account on an alternate email (gmail) and no sucess there either. I check both inbox, junk and spam folders.
The only set up I did was to edit sipdomains.xml to add the right ip address for the machine running sipsorcery per the docs. The logs indicate the right public ip address
Any help appreciated.

I should have searched more carefully. I found the answer on the forum. I just needed to edit customers.xml
