UPDATE #2:
Further reading ...
Google Voice does the trick ... you can enable the ability to identify and call a number found inside the CHROME browser window. (e.g. when reading your email ... or just surfing etc.)
GV will offer to DIAL the number for you ... and connect it to a pre-registered phone of your current active google account (GV)
Now I only need to link my desk-phone to a number I can register with GV ... and it works
You might need to link your SS URI address of your desk-phone with a real phone number from e.g. callcentric

UPDATE:
I did some reading and the CALLBACK function could do the trick ...
Now the Q: How to I send a MSG to my dialplan ... to start a call ?
______________________________________
Hi There,
in the good old days of "TAPI" under windows ... I could click on a phone number in an email ... and the following happened:
- A call was made using the number from the email as a CALL-TO
- Once the call was initiated my analog-desk-phone rang
- and when I picked up ... the two where connected ... as if I manually dialed the number on my phone.
Q: Any pointers how I can rebuild this using SS as the executioner?
Thanks for any help.
Robert
