20 Oct 2007 Modifications

Post by Aaron » Sat Oct 20, 2007 6:57 pm

Hi All,

A modification was undertaken on the sipswitch server on the 20th of Oct. The modification was for two main things:

- Allow the dial plan to be used for incoming calls,
- Put a DNS Manager in place to prevent the sipswitch from stalling as more and more invalid hostnames get used for registrations and calls.

There were some issues with the DNS Manager and it has taken a few hours to sort out during which time the sipswitch was restarted a number of times. Operation is back to normal now and the sipswitch is operating a lot better and is not getting stuck waiting for DNS lookups on non-existent domains.

Regards,

Aaron

Dial plan for Incoming calls

Post by pablo » Sat Oct 20, 2007 11:16 pm

This feature sounds intriguing.
Is there an explanation and/or sample plans on the syntax and how to use the Dial plan for Incoming calls?
Thanks

I may understand that outgoing calls may need a dial plan, but how I may use a dialplan for an incoming call? I am a little bit confused. Can anyone explain this feature in more details?

Thanks
