MySIPSwitch SIP services have been switched off

Post by Aaron » Sun Nov 01, 2009 10:40 am

Hi All,

As per the previous notifications the mysipswitch SIP services have now been switched off.

The mysipswitch web site will be left running for at least a couple of weeks so that any user that wants to migrate to sipsorcery can still retrieve their details.

Regards,

Aaron

Well, sorry to hear the end of mysipswitch.
I really liked it.
It is now three months that the service has been shut down but I am still able to login.
I would like to delete my providers so I am safe against fraud.
When I want to delete them I get the following error message:

Error: Exception processing request. Could not connect to http://10.6.0.181:8080/sipproxy/. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.6.0.181:8080.

What can I do?

There are 2 Options

One deleting the Whole account without deleting your sip providers

Two deleting first your Sip providers then deleting the whole Account

If you want number One just Click on Update Settings, then in there just Delete your

Account

On number Two Just clear all the fields then fill the fields like The picture is Showing

You ( whatever you want to put in there ) then Click Update then Delete.

When you are done, just click on Update Settings and delete your account

Then Problem Solved

Thank you,
deleting the entire account worked, so my data is safe!

It is time to turn mysipswitch off and remove the data. I have removed access to be able to login to the mysipswitch web site and in a week will delete the database.

Regards,

Aaron

Thanks, Aaron.

That's what I like about this site:
The responses are fast, within the same day (or even hour).
No commercial (paid) service can beat this.
They will concentrate on their marketing department and not the customer service!

Good luck with blueface.ie !

Thomas

Will the forums be moved to sipsorcery.wordpress.com or will we need to access them via sipsorcery.com/silverlight etc.?

No there's no plan to move or change the forums in the short term. I haven't managed to find any Silverlight based forums software but watch out if I do :)

Have you considered using the Whirlpool markup language? Another option may be to have Whirlpool host the discusions on SS. Without I hope being parocial I consider WP ( http://whirlpool.net.au/ ) to have probably the best user interface of any discussion board. My understand is that the code will be supplied gratis if you ask Simon.

Information as follows -

especially -
Building a markup language: part one, part two and part three
and -
Supporting IE8 means what?

Hi Rod,

I'm a member or whirlpool and the forums software is pretty good. I don't know if they'd host a forum on such a specific topic as sipsorcery, I've never seen any other such narrow topics.

I think the whirlpool markup language is just for text formatting within the whirlpool posts rather than the code that actually hosts the forums.

Aaron
