Special offer for Beta users until 31 July 2011

In recognition of the valuable feedback and in some cases assistance to other users that Beta users have provided I have created a special offer for anyone that wants to convert to a Premium account. For a $50 once off payment (no subscription required) Beta users can purchase 2 years of a SIP Sorcery Premium service. This compares to the normal price of $35/year and represents nearly 30% off.

The Premium service has unlimited SIP Providers, SIP Dial Plans and access to all Dial Plan functions. From the 1st of Aug 2011 Beta accounts will be treated the same as Free accounts and subject to a single SIP Provider, a single SIP Dial Plan and not able to access some Dial Plan functions.

Please note the offer will only last until the 31st July 2011. After that date any Premium account upgrades will be at the normal price.

The link to the offer is below. Note you'll be prompted to login and the offer will only show up for Beta users:

I guess that I missed it. First I knew about it was today when I started receiving lots of voice mails to which I could not reply. Only one provider was active ... of course one that I do not use :) . How do I one make one of the providers work? I have rearranged my services for now but I doubt if I will subscribe to Sipsorcery as it is difficult to justify for my light needs. I will continue to recommend your service and wish you every success with this commercial version.

I'm a light user too, the free account is well enough to handle my in and out calls with voipdiscount, sipgate and ipkall.

If the SIP Provider you want to use is not the active one you should delete the SIP Provider that is NOT read only and then you'll be able to create a new one or update the details on the NOT read only one with those of the SIP Provider you do want to use.

Too late. I already deleted the non-read only provider. To be honest I am glad to see that your efforts are looking like being a success.
The main reason that I missed you posting is that I normally only went to Sipsorcery on the rare occasions needed to make changes, it running
only on Microsoft Windows (I only run Windows for my Income Tax and Sipsorcery and that now seems to be mostly working on Linux now!). An email notification would have been at least polite.

I was sorry to have missed it as well. I also just became aware of the change once incoming calls were not coming through. I wonder if the offer could be extended to the end of August, as I feel certain others are in the same boat. In any event, I'd already donated $50 earlier in the year (I believe this service deserves support) and would love to be able to apply that to the offer (have already sent admin an email with the paypal details).

I'm glad to see SIP Sorcery take whatever steps are necessary to keep it solvent. It's a valuable service.

I missed the special offer too. I didn't see any options for this offer a couple weeks ago when I was looking at the fee schedule and I didn't even realize the beta status was about to expire. I guess I should read the forums more often.

Anyway I upgraded to premium, not really because I need unlimited dial plans or sip providers but It has been a good service and I don't mind paying for it. It would have been nice to get this deal the first time around though.

Like others here I too only just became aware of this change as calls from my non primary sip accounts were failing. An email advising of the change would have been nice.

Would be nice if the offer could be extended, but if not I will still purchase a Premium account anyways.

The service has been fantastic and more than happy to pay for it .

I, too, missed the boat.
'Tis a shame that an e-mail notification was not sent out. Although I would not have upgraded at any price.

I've sent Aaron $10 twice over the last year+ to thank him for the service,
despite the hickups and changes without notification. :-) :D

But I'm not a big user. One provider, one dial plan, etc. is enough for me. And am thankful he allows this.

I just wish there was an easier way to transition to being free.
I have dial plans I will need to merge and it won't be easy since I'm very bad at Ruby and have done a lot of messy mash-ups.
I have providers that I will have to drop and/or create a gateway to use. SIGH!

But I am happy to see that all Aaron's work is finally reaching critical-mass and maybe he can make a living from it.
He deserves it. I congratulate him! It is in the tradition of when SOURCE code was available and the community improved
the IBM Operating Systems or the Unix systems that he works!

Sigh.

P.S> Now if Aaron added a REXX (Restructured Executive ....) interpretor ALA IBM VM/370 and MVS-TSO
as an alternate to Ruby (am I showing my age?) :D
(and I'm sure there are REXX fans in the community that will surly help him because Mike Colishaw created REXX in the PUBLIC DOMAIN)
THEN I WILL PAY THE BUCKS FOR this because I could program a million things in no time flat with REXX.
