Software Update - 31 Jul 2008 11:30 UTC

Post by Aaron » Thu Jul 31, 2008 10:32 am

Hi All,

A software update for the sipswitch SIP service has just been carried out. The update does not contain any major new functionality but does contain a lot of re-work. The main purpose of the update is the first step in being able to run each of the sipswitch services in a different process in order to track down the memory leak.

If this update does not introduce any problems within 24 to 48 then the sipswitch configuration will be updated to run each of the major 4 tasks in a separate process to see which one is chewing up the memory.

REgards,

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

I guess may be his has something to do with the current changes. All the following were working previously.

1. Even though my SPA shows it is registered to sipswitch (i checked that it is registering again after 113s). However in the monitor page, the status is "not logged in"

We know that you are busy with the memory leak issue, but i thought I would just notify these.

Rgds,
Sudeep

Today my pap2 is registering, but phones calls are not coming through
All the settings look correct and nothing changed on my end.

If you need any info on my setup, just let me know.

Thanks

Both my account and a friends account are not receiving incoming calls either.

Fix on the way

Post by Aaron » Thu Jul 31, 2008 10:14 pm

Hi trottm and nevets,

Sorry about the issue, I have to run off to work now but will get onto it as soon as I get back. We really need to keep the sipswitch running as it is at the moment if at all possible to get some more data on this memory leak. I realise that's almost certainly the cause of your problem and regret having to put you out. It should only be for a little bit longer and we'll be able to get your calls working agin.

Regards,

Aaron

Hi folks,

Add the following line to your non-Ruby dial plan.

exten = sipswitch_username,1,Switch(sipswitch_username@local)

jack, thanks the user@local line worked. Is ths some inbound routing command? Haven't seen it until now?

Aaron I agree with nevets entirely. If you need debugging feedback let me know.

this "user@local" seems to be an have-to
or-else one see in he's Monitor things like..
~
09:24:01:497: No registrations or dial plan entry for incoming call and sip:F~sip_user@213.200.94.182, returning temporarily not available.
~
now it works
..

Hi,

I'm able to take a look at this problem now. If anyone is still having an issue registering their device could you either post here or PM me.
