Help me please

Hello,
I am new to MSS.I am trying configure ATA D-link 2001S with MSS. I followed the steps as in guide to set up MSS. Upon rebooting my ATA I donot get any sound in my telephone device. I have used in the SIP service provider - sip.smartvoip.com ( a betamax service)

Hi Sumit,

The 1st thing to check is if the phone 'registers' properly with our service.

If you don't get any tone, I guess it doesn't.

Double check you've entered the proxy details correctly and check your login / password.

Do not hesitate to post a screen shot of your configuration if you struggle.

If your phone is properly registered you'll see it in the monitoring page.

Once you have this done, you can start looking at the SIP providers.

One more thing, if you want to test the service easier, maybe give it a go with a softphone, they are usually easier to install and to mangle with.

Thank you for your quick reply,
I am trying to configure SIP - provider www.tivi.com(Latvia)
When I am entring the username, password,server and register it with mysipswitch in the monitoring - I see
sip:xxxx@0.0.0.0 (where xxxx is my username with the SIP - Provider) in fact it should show sip:mysipswitch_username@sip.mysipswitch.com;switchtag=XXXX

What I am doing wrong that I can't register tivi.com with mysipswitch

Kindly guide me

what did you set as 'Registration Contact' ?
It should be :

sip:USERNAME@sip.mysipswitch.com
where USERNAME is your mysipswitch's username

and one more thing
instead of showing sip:mysipswitch_username@sip.mysipswitch.com
it shows sip:myusername_withtivi@0.0.0.0

kindly guide me what I am doing wrong?
