Hi,
complete newbie here. Not having much luck getting my setup working.
I got my SIPSorcery account going and my Siemens C470IP bound to it as well as my smartphone app and my sip provider is all logged in and ready to go.
However all incoming calls go straight to my sip provider voicemail.
What I what to happen is when there is an incoming call both the C470IP and Smartphone will ring. Al want to be able to make out going calls using VOIP from both devices as well.
I think I missing something here but cant find the info I need... any help appreciated.
Cheers
Shane
Incoming calls go straight to Voicemail
Re: Incoming calls go straight to Voicemail
First thing to try is to tick the Send NAT keep-alives box for sipsorcery SIP Account you are forwarding calls to. That will help keep the NAT connection open to your C470 box.
If that doesn't help record the log messages you get in the Silverlight console when you attempt to place a call and post them up here.

Re: Incoming calls go straight to Voicemail
Thanks for the info.
The NAT keep alive is on. the log is below... There is no indication that a call is being recieved. Is there something I should be setting up on my VOIP providers side?
Thanks

Re: Incoming calls go straight to Voicemail
Yes you will need to set up your SIP Provider if you want to receive calls on it via sipsorcery. Your two choices are:
1. Create a SIP Provider and configure it to register with your SIP Provider (if you need more than 2 providers you will need to purchase a Premium account for $35/year),
2. Create a rule at your SIP Provider that forwards calls to sip:yourusername@sipsorcery.com.

Re: Incoming calls go straight to Voicemail
Thanks for getting back to me.
1. I have created a sip provider and its registered.
2. By create a rule to forward calls to sipsorcery.com.. you don't mean a dialing plan do you for in coming calls? because I left that blank. Otherwise I went though all the settings on my SIP providers and can't see a way to forward a call by entering "sip:yourusername@sipsorcery.com". The only call forwarding option they have is to a traditional number.
I may have to call Tech support in the morning.
Cheers

Re: Incoming calls go straight to Voicemail
If your SIP Provider is registered then you don't need to do anything else to forward incoming calls. If you have a SIP device registered then any incoming calls from your SIP Provider will be forwarded to your registered device.
If it's not working log onto the Silverlight portal, open the Console tab and click connect, attempt a call and then paste the log messages you get up here.
There is no technical support line for the SIP Sorcery service. Support is only provided via this forum unless you happen to be on a Professional service level plan in which case you are entitled to business hours email support..

Re: Incoming calls go straight to Voicemail
Thanks again,
The log I posted above was made when I attempted a call. There was nothing there to indicate that any call was received
