TA612V problems

Post by ramtec » Tue Feb 07, 2012 10:19 pm

I haven't used my voip phone for a few months, today I went to use it and it doesn't work ad I'm not sure what's changed.

This is the problem:-

I use sipgate to provide a free number, I use voipstunt to provide my outgoing calls.

When I dial a number from my ta612v connected phone I get the cleared line tone.

When I dial my sipgate number I get 'the number dialed has not been recognised'

I get a missed call log entry under sipgate Call list

Thanks in advance

This is an outgoing call I think and was taken from the sipsorcery call history

Can you try logging onto the sipsorcery Silverlight portal at http://www.sipsorcery.com/mainsite/Home/Portal, click Connect on the console tab and then try placing a call from your ATA. If you get some messages flashing up in the console it means the call has reached the sipsorcery server.

Am I right in thinking this is my problem :- "Provider voipstunt is read-only and cannot be used for calls. Upgrade to a Premium service to enable." when did this change? Thanks in Advance

Yes that's your problem. The sipsorcery service switched to paid accounts 6 months ago http://sipsorcery.wordpress.com/2011/04 ... p-sorcery/.

Hi Aaron,

I thought existing free users would still be ok?

I tried deleting my voipstunt provider in order to recreate it as I noticed the password was out of sync and it would let me update and now it won'tlet me create it.

You are entitled to one provider on the free plan. If you want to use your voipstunt provider you'll need to first delete your sipgate one.

thanks aaron, I reached the same conclusion just before checking back here. As you can probably tell I am a very lght user so the $35 yearly is not going to be worth it for me at the moment.

The brain is a little fuzzy and I'm trying to remember how/why I set it up with two providers, voipstunt for outgoing calls and sipgate for incoming perhaps. Is there any way being limited to one provider I can achieve the same goal?

Thanks again

ok I've now managed to get my sipgate working so at least I can receive incomming calls from my sipgate number. For those that get stuck you need to tick register on the provider now
