Third party registrations

Post by gbonnet » Wed Jul 11, 2007 4:09 pm

The SIP Switch can perform third party registrations. An example of adding a registration would be:

Username: username
Password: password
Server: sip.myprovider.com
Contact: mysipswitchusername@213.200.94.182

After that, all calls for this account will ring on your sip switch phone.
Note that the other SIP account should be disconnected, otherwise you will have issues if both devices are trying to regiter.

Forwarding tpad

Post by prissy » Sun Jul 15, 2007 8:38 pm

Can we forward a call from tpad.com made with their access number PSTN ?
To a freedigits number or phonegnome? If so could you please give a working example of settings? Thank you very much

Hi Prissy,

You can't do that with the 3rd party registration tool.
When you are forwarding a call accross domains like that, someone has to pay. So the SIP Switch can't do that.

Something you can do though, is to set 2 registrations, one for the tpad and one for the freedigits and make them ring on your SIP Switch phone.
That may does what you are looking for.

If you do that, that should work:
Username: tpad-username
Password: tpad-Password
Server: sip.myprovider.com (I don't know the adress of their SIP proxy)
Contact: mysipswitchusername@213.200.94.182

The second part has me a bit confused.
So.. for example: Let say we have a FWD account and it needs to be registered as we receive incoming calls on it. We also have another SIP account that we use only for outbound calls that also requires registration.

So are you are saying is this is not possible?

Hi justme,

That's possible. You can add as many registrations as you like irrespective of how they are used.

Aaron
