TLS

Post by florinfr » Sun Jul 27, 2014 5:16 am

TLS is not working. I tried sipsorcery.com:5061 and sipsorcery.com:9712.
In both cases I get request timeout(408).

Changing from TLS to TCP works fine.

The TLS support on the sipsorcery server is a bit erratic sorry. There's a long standing bug in the software that I have never managed to resolve. I've restarted the proxy server now so the TLS channel will be back up for a period.

Hi Aaron,

Are you suggesting to steer clear from TLS for now until you get that bug fixed?

Thank you,
F

Yes that's the recommendation.

Were you just testing the TLS channel or did you have a particular requirement?

I was using TLS for a while now because of added encryption over TCP and nothing more. It was running smooth for more than a month. I will switch to TCP for now but I would really like to use TLS. Currently I don't have any special requirements other than my own paranoia.

Is this TLS issue high on your priority list?
