how to specify SIP source(listen) port- freephoneline.ca

Post by harmit » Tue Oct 14, 2008 3:25 am

Hi,

I have been experimenting with freephoneline.ca which required listen port to be 6060 only, how do we specify in mysipswitch listen/source port address

Hi harmit,

In the Advanced Settings under your SIP Provider entry you can set the Outbound Proxy to any of the available sipswitch ports the proxy is listening on.

At the moment the available sockets are:

213.200.94.182:2060
213.200.94.182:5060
213.200.94.182:8091
77.67.57.195:80
77.67.57.195:5060

Regards,

Aaron

This provider gives- Unlimited Free Canada Local calling and local inbound number . I have been successfully able to use it on eyeBeam (Soft SIP Phone), but was trying to make it work via mysipswitch.
Is there any possibility to open port 6060
======================================================
**SIP server : 208.65.240.142 / voip.freephoneline.ca
**Username : 1xxxxxxxxxx (number allocated to you)

**Password: download their official software and register, use any sniffer to capture password, this password will not be in plain text and normally between 20-30 characters
Example :
sip_username=1(10digits)&sip_password=XBt66azcoNbzTi4sopoT%3D%3D&status=2
(username/password) are changed, Also remember: configure sniffers to capture http traffic. Even sometimes there is popup windows for survey, which also has password in its address bar.(all new users will surely get this popup windows)

**SIP Listen Port : 6060
**User-Agent: FreePhoneLine

I personally use Etherpeek sniffer, but etherreal, sniffer pro will also serve purpose. To Find this software just search in google
site:4shared.com sniffer pro
site:4shared.com etherpeek

Hi harmit,

Does the provider specify anywhere that port 6060 is required? It might just be that your xten softphone is using port 6060 by default and not necessarily that it's needed by the provider.

Provider officially does not support any 3rd party SIP softphone/adapters, Using their customized softphone is must.

Things were not working with default port, then I used sniffer to get more details, by which I ended up that source port 6060 is required, If I make listen port defaults it does not work anymore.

please give try , its free site.

Socket 213.200.94.182:6060 has been allocated to the mss proxy now and can be used in the Outbound Proxy setting.

Any update on this issue? I am also interested in registering this provider to my MSS account.
