Google call not working any more

Post by luvxu » Thu Sep 08, 2011 3:28 am

Hi all,

look like our sipsocery google call script is not working anymore. I get the message "Exception on GoogleVoiceCall. Could not find _rnr_se key on your Google Voice account page, callback cannot proceed" every time that I am making an outgoing call. Can someone confirm this problem?

Here is the outgoing call log:

Have you tried logging into your Google Voice account through a US proxy? A number of other users had success with that approach. See the end of this thread for more detail viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3671.

I've tested my GV account and something has changed on the Google Voice web page. Most likely this will need to be fixed in the code, providing it's still possible to initiate GV calls this way. I'll look into it shortly.

Should be fixed now. From what I can tell the authentication process at Google's end changed to involve a server on a different domain, specifically accounts.google.com, and this broker the setting of the cookies needed for sipsorcery to login to the Google Voice home page. Getting the sipsorcery to transfer the cookies from accounts.google.com to use with www.google.com fixed the issue, or at least it's fixed it for my Google Voice test calls.

I don't know if this is all related but ever since this happened I could only receive calls. My outgoing call would ring only once and then there is complete silence after that.

hmmm very funny! it only happened on the phone connected to the Primus ATA (name iAN-02EX, model U53V005.00) and not on a softphone Xlite-4 . The softphone has no problem making outgoing call. The phones are connected to the local Asterisk server at home. Then the asterisk server is registered with sipsorcery.com for outgoing call and incoming call. this setup had been working fine prior to this incident.

I wonder what is wrong?

BTW, ever since gizmo5 went away and I had to switch to sipgate service, I had to use the local Asterisk server to connect to sipsorcery.com in order to make outgoing call to work. When gizmo5 was still working, the local server was not needed. There was a suggestion in this forum by beaver that one can use pbxes.org service to connect to sipsorcery.com for outgoing call to work. I just found that pbxes.org was not very friendly to user who create more than one account with them. Therefore, the best solution for me was to use my own server.

Anybody out there who might be having similar outgoing call problem?

NAT issue.
Its debugging is hard. check your port#, IP, reboot router...
