local version 1.2 release candidate 1

Postby jvwelzen » Sat Feb 06, 2010 2:19 pm

I’ve just uploaded an alpha release candidate of a new local version of sipsorcery (local indicates it’s designed to run on a PC and is suitable for a small number of users).

Hi Aaron

How much users would be running on the local release (max)

How would it be possible to run SS in a bigger environment

Is there coming some more documentation

It depends on the power of the machine it's running on but a single instance on sipsorcery should be able to cope with users into the thousands. The biggest issue will be the memory leaks in the DLR/IronRuby assemblies, te more users there are the more likely you're liable to encounte the "Long running dialplan" problem and require a restart.

To deploy sipsorcery in a larger environment all the individual servers get deployed as separate processes. The configuration is quite involved and I don't have plans to release a version with individual servers.

Yes I will be updating the existing documenation for the new release.
