Use Cases

Post by rmclaren » Sun Aug 10, 2008 4:10 am

Is it time to introduce the concept of use cases to the forums? Could we have members post what they are trying to accomplish with MySIPSwitch in a separate forum section, have this commented on by other members and then edited by the moderators as a "use case". Comments would then be added to the post, leading to a final moderator-edited Ruby dialplan that satisfies the use case. At the moment, the solutions are spread throughout the forums, available, but not easily accessible. This process would create a catalog of dialplans.

That's a great idea and would definitely help a lot of people to create more advanced dial plans with greater usefulness.

I actually started a blog article about various dial plan tricks with comments but I would only cover the basic stuff; so the forum is there a better tool.

I'll create a section for that asap.
